Free Arts Magazine was born out of a career detour that turned into a calling.

After being advised to change paths — and then unexpectedly let go from a past job — I found myself asking a big question: “What do I really want to do?”

That question led me back to creativity. Slowly, I began exploring art, culture, and storytelling — trying to understand not just my purpose, but the power of creative expression. I started talking to local artists, musicians, and makers. The more I connected with their journeys, the more I realized: these stories need a space.

With my background in production and media, I decided to build that space.

Free Arts Magazine is the result — a bold, honest platform celebrating South Africa’s creative youth. It’s where underground culture rises, new voices shine, and real stories are told.

This isn’t just a blog. It’s a movement — and I’m proud to be creating it with you.
